GETIER / Bench for public spaces

The city is alive.
And with its constant evolution its citizens evolve as well. Centuries ago these areas were inhabited by grazing, ruminant animals. Nowadays, we can observe new creatures here, which have been shaped by their new environment, trying to find their place within an urban landscape.
The concept describes the bench not just as a foreign object within its surroundings but as a piece of furniture, which forms a synthesis with its environment. Semantics and function relate to the flora and fauna rather than to traditional furniture.
A massive black chain prevents each individual GETIER from escaping.
