During an intravenous drip, nursing is needed because late withdrawal of needles when the transfusion ends may cause air flowing through the needle into the venous blood, which can be dangerous to human body. In India around five percent of injectors suffer from the air flow back into veins due to late needles withdrawals. Over injection with air even causes death. This design avoids air flowing back to venous blood by fixing the pinhead, and it detects the amount of liquid medicine left in the bottle, so that a mechanical device can automatically withdrawal the needle and get the pinhead out of the vein when the drip is over.
