Virvel / Wind turbine

Virvel
Virvel

Virvel/Vortex, a vertical-axle wind turbine for private use.

The aim of the project was to develop a product which, with the help of its design and with a design idiom that works in the environment where it is placed, could generate renewable energy to homeowners.

Vertical-axle wind turbines have vertical rotation axles and can therefore pick up wind energy from all directions. The low noise level makes it possible to place the wind turbine close to populated areas. Besides generating renewable energy, the wind turbine has another quality, namely its symbolic content, showing the commitment to sustainable development.
