I had the vision to create a chair that did not abandon the classic shapes of a chair. I wanted to use the shapes but at the same time as developing it into something new. A sketch that was drawn up using simple lines that formed the shape of a chair, eventually evolved into a schematic chair built from raw steel pipes. I wanted to incorporate a new material. I made an old fangled stool out of Ash wood placing it inside the steel frame. The steel chair and the stool never touch each other, thought they unite with a furniture paw made of brass. The idea of the ancient ash tree meeting industrial-rooted steel is very significant for my chair.
