The tile collection of the local museum in Dietikon/Switzerland tells many stories. Stories of local craftsmanship, old legends and personal memories. In order to explore their multilayered significance the tile exhibition is designed as an episodic story. In three rooms the different aspects are conveyed through visual, auditive, haptic as well as emotional approaches. In order to raise the attention of the visitors and increase their depth of perception a unique atmosphere is created in each room. Many exhibits encourage active involvement of the visitor. Throughout the exhibition cognitive learning is complemented by sensual experiences.
