Bio-kaleidoscope / Poster

Bio-kaleidoscope

Bio-diversity is the key issue to the ecologist. But how can the designer address the importance of bio-diversity to ordinary people? The concept of this poster comes from an interesting toy, the kaleidoscope. The word “kaleidoscope” is derived from the Ancient Greek καλ(ός), which means beauty or beautiful, είδο(ς), which stands for form or shape, and -σκόπιο, which is a tool for examination. The designer uses the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals’ images instead of beads or sequins, echoing the pursuit of bio-diversity. The more the better: diversity creates possibilities.
