D-Knife / Knife

D-Knife
D-Knife

In Chinese families grandparents still make use of traditional tricks in kitchens. They use a very thin thread to cut soft or sticky food, like tofu and thousand-year-old eggs for that the conventional kitchen knives tend to stick sticky food on the sides of them.We are inspired by this context and create a set of D-Knives using bamboo splints and smooth thin thread. Bamboo is a kind of environment-friendly material and it is flexible. And the thread can be replaced if necessary. Basically, D-Knife has been designed specifically for use to cut soft and sticky food like egg, tofu, cake, banana and so on.
