Many TV stations are replacing expensive three-man camera teams with single video-journalists who require professional yet easy to use, flexible cameras. A camera has therefore been designed with a modular body where each function is contained within a different module. Modules can be simply connected and interchanged according to the video-journalist's personal needs. For example the handle is itself an individual module which can be positioned wherever it fits personal ergonomics best. Additionally the display has changed its traditional place in a camera and is practically placed as a fold-away "hood" above the lens.
