Date Guard / Cap

Date Guard
Date Guard

People are not usually aware of the expiration date of food,
let alone medicines. Scientists have created an organic plastic
which can be decomposed by bacteria under circumstances
such as sufficient moisture and within certain temperature.
With the special material, scientists can control when the
plastic decomposes.

Using the material on medicine bottle caps can increase
the awareness of expiration dates of the product. When
people unscrew an expired medicine bottle, the structure
of the cap will be too weak to sustain the force and fail to
open. Therefore people won’t accidentally take an expired
medicine.
