Paperclip Armrest / Armrest

Paperclip Armrest
Paperclip Armrest

We've all experienced it. On an airplane, on a train, or in a cinema.

Battling for an armrest- a trivial yet annoying reality in life.

The Paperclip Armrest comprises of two levels, one above another with the top level offset forward, allowing adjacent occupants to use the armrest simultaneously, sharing the same vertical space without clashing.

The Paperclip Armrest works by making use of the natural mobility of the elbows, i.e. the arm’s ability to rotate freely around the shoulder joint, in a way that the occupant can adapt easily to various armrest heights.

The Paperclip Armrest is a simple design concept that can take many forms.
