A Typeface as an Identity Element of a Signage System of the new Fire Station in Dresden
The Typeface, Ive designed, is inspired by the Typefaces of the 20's, because the Architects also refer to this time. Typefaces are inferior to social change and must assume new tasks. The purpose of the Typefaces, which I took as models, was the printing process. Regardless of the purpose and time period, these Types, have an intrinsic aesthetic value. I interpreted the forms and altered conscious individual characters. The Typeface designed by me is to match the architectural design. The letters form is simple, linear and a geometric construction.
