Haptic Braille / Portable braille translator

Haptic Braille
Haptic Braille

It is a mouse-type portable Braille translator and scanner: It scans any printed materials, recognizes the characters via OCR(optical character reader) and translates them into the Braille on the surface of the device. Reading with fingertips inspired the mouse shape, which is easy to use. It is convenient to carry so that it can be used anywhere, anytime. Haptic Braille will enable the visually-impaired to read whatever printed materials as soon as they are available without having to wait for them to be printed in Braille. It will also contribute to environment protection by saving the paper, time and cost of Braille printing.
