Acolhido / Emergency Shelter

Acolhido
Acolhido

This shelter was conceived to provide temporary housing to Brazilian families made homeless because of the destructive action of natural catastrophes. The project uses geometrical exploration to find a single module that serves to assembly the entire shelter. Mass manufactured by die cutting it uses alveolar polypropylene as raw material, the combination of both enables fast and low cost emergency relief to lacking areas. The project is an incursion in the fields of architecture and urban planning, however it uses critical analysis, reflections and process methodology from industrial design.
