When we borrow books from library, we often forget the returning date. Stick a little heat-sensitive mark on the spine. A heated print can print the date on it. The date on the print can be adjusted. A bottom case can heat the print and hold it when its not in use. The deadline gets nearer, the date on the spine gets lighter. If dead line passes, the date fades completely. If the book is retuned earlier before deadline and soon be borrowed again, the mark can still work. Just pint the new date on the old one. Although it may seem massy in the beginning, but it can still tell you that the dead line is far away.
