WEAR / mobile phone

Wear and tear is part of life, but this phone will “wear off in style”. In this design, the phone keys are hidden under the phone’s top "skin" when new. Fraying of the outer coating through frequent rubbing and pressing exposes the layer beneath. The more the phone is used, the more of the under-layer will be revealed. The appearance of the under-layer remains a mystery until brought to light through usage, adding playfulness to the phone. As different users have different habits of phone usage, the phones’ outlook will each evolve differently, thus creating the uniqueness of each phone.
