An incomplete telephone box 04 / Spare urban space redesign

An incomplete telephone box 04
An incomplete telephone box 04

This an extendible project for people to think, debate and reflect about re-using this British culture icon, a telephone box.

A feature of telephone box, transparency, helps to show whether it is occupied or vacant for users. It reflects an issue of privacy.

On the other hand, reading a tabloid is like to observe someone’s private life. So I use cameras and a screen to emphasis this satiric situation, a sort of double privacy reading. People can see the private behaviours of a person reading a tabloid in a telephone box, which lead audience to think about the importance of privacy and the legitimacy of the paparazzi and tabloids.
