Wood as an organic material is along with environmental thoughts likely to be of increasing importance in the future. Therefore I think it is important to seek new technologies to evolve the art of wood manufacturing.
The fusion of two traditionally separated woodworking techniques; mould pressing and veneer production will provide the extraordinary possibility to control the visual appearance of wood surface texture.
With variations of wood types and patterns this opens up for enormous possibilities for a wide range of applications within interior design. As an example this new material is here presented in a set of veneer lamps.
