We have to break off the worn part of blade to get a new sharp knifepoint but breaking immediately is very dangerous since the spreading fracture might threat our safe. Though tools could help us easily, they may take time or be not obtained all the time. A special thin film stick on the blade could hold the fracture and avoid hazard. As this film is very thin and away from the edge, it isn't affect our work. What’s more, the oil is smeared in the surfaces of blades to avoid rust, which is always difficult to us to take out a blade from them due to sticky effect. The thin film which could sunder the oil also let the process more easily.
