Firefighters in particular are often exposed to irreversible, deadly diseases caused by particles of smoke and fire. When on active duty, they wear protective breathing apparatus most of the time but the firemen organizing the call and deploying the other firefighters often don’t wear masks in order to be able to communicate with their colleagues better. “CAS Air System” is a protective breathing mask that allows them to communicate with colleagues through a window using a voice amplifier. If the carbon monoxide level suddenly increases, a tube with compressed air kicks in automatically to provide them with clean air to breathe.
