ORBIT / A Wrist Watch Study

The ORBIT Concept breaks away with the illusion of a recurring day pattern. Neither the beginning nor the end of the day is visible and the elapsing time is represented as different slow moving frequencies.
From left to right, the five courses represent month, day, hour, minute, second and rotate at a different but constant speed. The timespan required for one index to replace the other represents the duration of each unit. The contiguous movement of five courses at different speeds reveals a aesthetic quality which remains hidden in other typical conventions in representation of time.
