This book explores the boom in the German arms industry aiming to make accessible and draw light on a subject which largely escapes public attention. By visual means, the book uncovers quaint, hidden numbers and facts, setting them against aspects such as the foggy language and politics' pitching ploys. Examples show how negative facts are played down in media, public discourse and daily language by means of euphemisms or other strategies. FIRE-AND-FORGET sensitizes the audience, evokes reflection, inspires to critically evaluate information and deal consciously with media. The work is based on public data of the last couple of years.
