The Guardian / Protective field hockey mask

The Guardian
The Guardian

The “Guardian” is a face mask designed to reduce the number and severity of injuries sustained during field hockey penalty corners. There is an increased awareness of costs, both human and financial, associated with facial injuries occurring in hockey. This has created a growing need and opportunity for improved face protection. The main innovation is the repositioned and reshaped eyeholes designed to improve the user’s vision while providing optimum protection from balls, sticks and other players. Other features include the ability to customize the facemask's fit and a detachable, colour coded, sweat lining.
