Wood has been used for producing furniture for a long time; connecting, carving and bending this natural material into a various 3d shapes. This project focused on the joinery, seeking to explore what happens when it becomes flexible. Its inspired by the process of over molding, in which two materials are used to complete and enhance each other; the wood is used for its compatibility for home furniture. The elastic material is used for transforming the 2D spread into a 3D shape. The combination of the two materials adds the aspect of flexibility into the usually rigid furniture produced in wood.
