"α"NEX-5 / Interchangeable lens digital camera

Discipline: Product

Discipline: Product

Boasting the world’s smallest, most lightweight body for an interchangeable-lens digital camera (as of June 2010), the "α"
NEX-5 still has an image sensor equivalent to those found in DSLR cameras. The body is minimized and the designer achieved an iconic style with the lens larger than the body, creating the impression of nothing but a lens “cylinder” and LCD “panel.” A secure grip hold is ensured by making the grip extend lower than the body. The lens mount is designed to blend seamlessly into the lens. This produces an effect that emphasizes the cylinder, while making the body look even thinner.
