Sessilia / Plastic Particle Collector

The aim of this project is to design a product that collects harmful plastic particles from our oceans. The product will filtrate the sea water and collect both plastic particles and plankton. To separate the plastic particles from the water and plankton a cyclone separation technique is applied. Thereby the plastic particles are collected inside the construction and can be removed.
The product construction is to be located in an area with strong currents as the plastic particles move with the currents, these are also important for the power supply of the construction as it will be driven by tidal energy and attached to wind power foundation.
