Daunenjacke / jacket

Daunenjacke
Daunenjacke

The project is about the development of a down jacket for expeditions in low temperature areas. Using a backpack lowers the function of thermo-regulation, therefore the thermo-regulative qualities should be improved. While the downs are under pressure they cannot provide insulation functions. By using a capable spacer-fabric for the jacket the thermo-regulative qualities could be upgraded. A jacket has been made, which contains a rip structured spacer-fabric. Despite load, ventilation is still possible, because of it’s compressive strength. There is still enough air which ensures insulation and ventilation.
