Pifive / Promotional item

PenguinCube is a graphic design studio based in Beirut, Lebanon. As part of our tradition, we invest time and effort to develop a PI (Promotional item) every year. In 2009 / 10, our PI series went digital. After three consecutive calenders, we decided to shake things up. The result was a “year-long-animation” in a box. The animation is viewable by pushing on the red button. Every 12 hours a frame gets unlocked, and so, day after day, the animation gets longer until it is finally viewable from start to finish – 365 days after it is first operated. We have mailed out 2,000 units to our clients, suppliers and friends.
