The project begins on the forest ground, with dry branches cut by the forest service to prevent fires. These dry branches are introduced to epoxy resin in a designated mold. The new material holds inside the unique relations between the natural and synthetic substances.
The new material is then put on a lathe to begin chipping and milling to reveal the delicate inner balance between the wood and resin. No piece is the same, in each a different dance, a unique natural pattern that comes to life. Chess, a game of kings, traditionally from wood, replaced by plastic and joined together by Anafim.
