We at massiflex follow the natural shape of the tree trunk when cutting massive slabs of wood, instead of wasting material by trimming the edges and forcing a straight shape. Undulating edges make glue lines almost invisible to the naked eye. You can also save up to 40% of wood depending on the trunk you are working on. This makes our process ecologically valuable. Because we cut the irregular outside contours of two slabs as twins, they make a perfect match when layered on top of each other. On top of that, the natural grain of the wood is preserved and not lost like in a conventional slab of wood. The massiflex process is ideally suited for long tables.
