THE OTHER 90% / Renewable Energy

In many regions of developing countries, poor families struggle with ensuring their basic energy needs for cooking/light - for it is a financial burden and a hazard for their health.
This project introduces a sustainable system that can be easily implemented in already existing structures and therefore only uses commonly known and available technology and materials in an innovative way. In the tropes, the cultivation of cashewnuts is widespread and grows the not further used cashew apple which can be fermented easily to alcohol. This new bioethanol is the energy source which fuels a stove and a lamp, that are the second part of the project.
