WrapStove / portable burner

iF concept design award 2010

iF concept design award 2010

A portable burner is a must-carry item for camping. However, the gas burner we often use heats a cookware from the bottom, which is not very effective in transferring heat. When it is, the flame can get extinguished, leaving us exposed to a dangerous explosion.
WrapStove is a flexible induction stove that can be wrapped around a cookware. Its shape is like a long towel. When the end is folded, the power is turned on. You can set temperature on a touch screen. Its inside is dotted with magnets so that it does not come off. By heating the side, it shortens the cooking time. You can roll it up after use for less volume and bigger mobility.
