Carpe Diem / Photoserie about refuguees

Carpe Diem
Carpe Diem

Accompanied juvenile refugees have fled to Germany. Only those who are under 16, come under the youth protection laws and are tolerated. The young people have a life that is dominated by uncertainty. They live with a constant threat of deportation and therefore, find themselves in a state of instability.
What do they hope to realize and what is important for them?
Is there any concrete idea or is the belief in a prospect of a state of tolerance ever possible? In the portraits, the wishes expressed by these youth and the associated feelings are metaphorically represented. Analog photos taken by middleformat. 7 Interviews belong to the serie.
