Tellino combines in a playful way the archetypal characteristics of a tin can telephone and the characteristics of a dial-operated telephone. Tellino is reduced to telephones essentials.
To strike up a call with Tellino, you pick it up and hold it against your ear. The dial ring interprets the principle of a classical dial plate. Therefore the display is also an orientation for the dial ring. Each chosen number connects with the already dialed number in the display. An ultrasonic motor turns the dial ring in the starting position after every dialed number. When the desired number is dialed, hold Tellino against the ear to start the call.
