Designed for ICSID World Design Congress 2009, this space design is intended for exhibiting student works for Aging 2050, a topical exploration of future product designs for the elderly. The space is therefore a imagination of what future spaces would appear in the year 2050. The design takes traditional Chinese window patterns into consideration and presents a hybrid of Eastern elements with influences of the modernized Western minimalism. Also noteworthy is the mirror design that completes the pattern and fulfills both the enlarging visual effect and the Chinese ideal to be whole.
