Leitfaden / Leitfaden - easy sewing

iF concept design award 2010

The Leitfaden sewing-machine allows for a simple, fast entrance into the craft. Sewing becomes a modern hobby - an individual and creative work.

Adopting an electromagnetic needle drive enables a filigree upper arm design and more free workspace. The operation unit is centrally arranged in the field of vision and shows clearly arranged all features. The chosen mode is backlit while the current stitch pattern is projected onto the fabric as a guideline. A pneumatic JetAir-system handles the threading while a built-in yarn printer can colour the universal yarn into every desired colour by means of a sensor.

A beautiful machine that simplifies the act of sewing and renders the operation of a sewing machine intuitive as an added bonus, you can colour your own threads!
