The musical instrument aëdon combines a new way of sound synthesis and interaction between grafical interfaces and physical control elements with qualities of traditional instruments, like high quality workmanship, individual tone colour and sensitive handling. Individually positionable control elements on the tactile touchscreen and the influence of body movements provide a contemporary, sensual way of making music. The external speaker also works as a puffy, storage space and transportation box. By using the instrument, materials like leather, metal and wood get an individual patina.
