DROP is a device for blind people, that helps them move around the city. It transfers normal map into a touchable map so that blind people can navigate around the city on their own. DROP is using both GPS and Tactile Display technology, and works together with a blind cane. This enables them to discover new places and visit new cities on their own. The map display on the device flows smoothly while you walk, always turning to align with the surroundings like a compass; you can zoom in and zoom out, search for locations and much more. DROP expands the area in which blind people can feel safe to navigate; from local to world wide.
