This design has a waterway and holes are made around the pot so that water can go through the holes and evenly permeate into the soil. There are several holes along the waterway around the pot; in front of every hole is a small pool that can retain water and allow it to slowly permeate into soil. A fine net is attached to each hole to prevent soil from coming out. Water that cannot be absorbed timely in the pot will come out from the side holes and follow the waterway to various other holes. An additional tray is provided to collect unabsorbed water. The tray has a radial pattern of pores that can keep out of mosquitoes.
