Guardian / Air Pollution Sensor

Air pollution is a problem that affects everyone, some places are worse off than others, there are many factors that affect it monitoring it is hard.
The Guardian is composed of lots of nano-sensors, that can sense even the smallest amount pollutants in the air.
The readings it gets are interpreted by an LED on the top, blue_safe to red-unsafe. It warns you when you are in a polluted area.
Syncing it with a phone means you can look the exact readings, this also opens up GPS and time tags being attached to the data. With an Internet connection all the data can be uploaded to a monitoring network mapping out the pollution for the public to see.
