The concept of “Lumos” describes a system of bike illumination. Being based on the piezoelectric effect, Lumos uses impact and vibration that occur during motion of the vehicle, which happens in order to transform kinetic energy into electric energy with the help of piezo ceramics. During the transformation process, piezo elements are installed at applicable digits; as a special feature, Lumos has its piezo elements located in the seat post and stem. Due to uneven parts on the roadway, the elements get compressed and generate an amount of voltage. In order to be loaded to the LEDs for rides in the dark, this energy is stored in an accumulator
