'Young-Gong-E-Sa' has a dualistic meaning of an eternal space and eternal communication.
The site we have chosen as the target of our design study is Chung-Jin-Dong in Seoul, Korea which has been planned for redevelopment. Chung-Jin-Dong has been a commoner's space for more than 500 years in Seoul. Our design is inspired by the form of this alleyway which has been occured naturally through history of interaction between people in Chung-Jin-Dong. It is contextually continuous from its past historical and spatial meanings and can perform as an alternative communicative space for the new coming era.
