Indigo Mask / Particle Mask

Indigo Mask
Indigo Mask

The design specifically targeted professional cleaners who are exposed to extended amounts of ammonia and dust, but never wear any type of protection, increasing risk of occupational asthma. Current masks offered cover up the user’s face making them anonymous, at the same time created a ‘Darth Vador’ effect, where they become more intimidating to those around them. With Indigo Mask, there is a window in front, to see more of the user’s face. It uses less hard edge geometry to avoid a industrial aesthetic. The filtration is worked into the geometry, to make it less prominent. The indigo blue inspired by the headdress of nomadic Tuareg Tribe.
