The Brew Spout is meant as an alternative to an electric tea pot. It also exposes more of the tea making process to the user. This means exposing not only the visual process of the hot water dripping into the cup but highlight the acoustic experience as well. Instead of hearing hissing sounds, you hear a pleasant dripping of the water falling into your cup.
The Brew Spout takes the guess work out of heating up water. Rather then with a oversized electric tea pot, where you have to overshoot how much water you need, here what you put in is what you get out. It's a closed thermal cycle, like a coffee machine.
