The power to revive the city and the economy is derived from introspection of the self, to reorient the perception of the city, understand the course of its history and gain an insight into the cultural lifeline, I prefer to use contrasts and analogies of the past and the present to interpret Taipeis ancient civilizations.
From a distance, they appear like ancient stele inscriptions; a closer look and they become the streets and blocks of our modern city. Are those mottled lines the traces of a bounteous history or the components of modern architectures? To feel the power stemming from the introspections of history.
