Zep'Lin by Renault
Zep'Lin by Renault

Zep'Lin is an airship of 8000 m³ inflated with helium uses the energy of the sun to move.
Featuring a vertical architecture the dirigible can change direction quickly and land anywhere without the need of infrastructure. Moving like a sailboat, the rudder system allows tilting the zeppelin according to the angle of the sun. Zep’Lin is a completely autonomous airship, the energy generate by the solar panels on the superior envelope is stored in lithium-ion batteries. Design to do races around the world in 2015 beyond the clouds, this project should allow Renault to develop and to promote the new technologies for electric vehicles.
