What the rising use of bottled water leaves us with, however, is a huge recycling pro-
blem. Bottled water is the single largest growth area. But most bottled water is cons-
umed away from home where there's usually no recycling. Throwing soda and water
bottles into the recycling is easy enough. However, I always cringe when I have to
toss the plastic cap into the trash. "There has to be a better way".

The materials used to manufacture the bottle and its cap is different. While opening
the cap, part of the cap is left on the bottleneck. This sealing ring caused inconv-
enience to recycle PVC bottles. The recycling personnel need to
