XY - Climbing Shoes / individual climbing shoes

XY - Climbing Shoes
XY - Climbing Shoes

XY-Climbing Shoes is a concept for comfortable climbing shoes that uses the processes of generative and rapid manufacturing. Everything starts with 3D scanning the feet of the user into the computer. This copy is used to make a surface around the foot and to create the soft and hard parts of the shoes. Some space can be made inside the shoe for orthopedically and medical adjustment of the feet. The climbing shoes are printed in a two component 3D printing process so the hard and soft parts are created at the same time. It feels like a second skin. Moving, walking, and climbing with these shoes is like feeling the rock with your own feet.
