Who is leading the dialogue between a photographer and the person whose photo will be taken? Daniel Schludi intended to answer this question with his master thesis »Medusa Aesthetics of the view«.
He created a gadget named Medusa: a tripod with a mounted camera, surrounded by eight gooseneck LEDs. The person's self mediation during an eyetracking session defined the modality how the photographer had to visualize the probands portrait. Therefore Daniel Schludi used the gadget Medusa to transform the data by hand (digital to analog) on the proband's face.
