Sphericals / roller skate

The design objective was to quickly give a sense of achievement and fun to inline skating beginners, too. Also the risk of ankle injuries should be reduced.

The result is an organic shaped shoe made of two plastic shells, that embrace the foot and protect it. The wheels are placed in front and behind the shoe. The lowered centre of gravity reduces the risk of ankle injuries and enhances the driving feedback.
Its spherical shaped wheels make the shoe seem to hover above the ground, but offer a higher grip and a better handling than conventional ones.
The lower shell’s colour fits the one of the rims.

Two new feet that do not only look fast.
