The term means Embed junction or union of two pieces cut out so that a protruding enters a chasm on the other, adjusting perfectly. The techniques of union of wood have been developed over centuries, widespread and applied in carpentry, where patience, care and attention to detail provide accurate joints. The material is applied over the wood, and is also one of the most used in furniture production. These banding techniques are used to produce items such as chairs, tables and benches. The pieces do not use nails or screws to join or set, only the fittings made in absolute precision.
